A truck crash recently led to three injuries in California. The collision took place along the 405 Freeway. Just two motor vehicles were involved in the serious accident.
According to authorities, the truck was heading north when it suddenly collided with a car on the freeway. The truck allegedly breached the freeway's center driver and entered its southbound lanes, at which point, it spilled its load of concrete onto the road. The car ended up being pinned beneath the truck, trapping the driver for an extended period of time.
Of the three people who suffered injuries in the crash, two were reportedly in critical condition following the incident. Thankfully, however, the other person's condition was deemed fair. Military personnel and other Good Samaritans were able to help at least one victim to escape from the fiery collision.
The injured parties who were in the car when the motor vehicle accident happened may opt to file personal injury claims against the truck driver in an attempt to obtain reimbursement of financial damages. The truck driver's employer may also be named in the lawsuit. A preponderance of the evidence is necessary to establish liability -- or financial responsibility -- before the civil court hearing the case in California. If the injured parties are successful, they may receive monetary awards that could help them to cover their medical bills and other losses related to the serious accident. Financial damages may also help with addressing emotional distress as well as pain and suffering stemming from the collision.
