A severe injury collision has unfortunately occurred in California. The serious accident took place on a Saturday morning along Interstate 5. It involved a tractor-trailer and multiple cars.
According to authorities, the injury crash occurred at about 7 a.m. It took place when a tractor-trailer reportedly crashed into the car that was ahead of it. Police said this caused a chain reaction of collisions involving 10 cars.
The chain-reaction crashes ended up leading to multiple injuries. One victim had to be airlifted to the hospital from the interstate as a result of the injuries he or she sustained in the motor vehicle collision. The crash left all southbound lanes closed for multiple hours.
If police reveal that negligent driving on the part of the truck driver caused the crash, the multiple victims injured in the collision may choose to file personal injury claims against the tractor-trailer driver. The truck driver's employer may also be named in the claims. In the lawsuits, the plaintiffs may seek the reimbursement of financial damages sustained in the collisions.
