A woman's life was recently snuffed out in a tragic motor vehicle collision in California. A total of three motor vehicles were involved in the violent crash, which occurred at a street intersection. Authorities said the car accident was the result of impaired driving.
The accident occurred at a little past 3 p.m. According to authorities, the driver of a car blew through a red light. This reportedly caused a collision with two other motor vehicles.
A woman was seated at a nearby bus stop at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, one of the motor vehicles involved in the wreck struck the woman. She suffered injuries and was thus taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The car driver who allegedly caused the accident was expected to be charged with driving under the influence in connection with the accident.
The loved ones of the woman who passed away in the car accident may choose to file a wrongful death claim against the individual believed to have caused the car crash due to impaired driving. If the driver ends up being criminally charged and later convicted in a court of law, proof of the conviction can be provided in civil court with the goal of establishing liability for the fatal wreck. A claim that is fought successfully may result in monetary damages that might help with covering the deceased woman's burial costs, the loss of income for any surviving dependents and other monetary losses stemming from the California motor vehicle accident.
